Performing Arts Classes for Kids & Adults

Littles explore movement and music in a joyful first-class experience.
What to wear: Bare feet.
An hour-long intro to tap and ballet — 25 minutes of each plus creative movement time. Builds motor skills, coordination, and self-confidence. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: Tap and ballet shoes required. Tight-fitting dance wear; hair up and out of the face.
Introduces and masters skills in tap and jazz — fundamentals, coordination, and musicality in a one-hour class. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: Black tap shoes and tan turners or tan jazz shoes. Tight-fitting dance wear; hair up.
Good to know: A ballet class alongside is recommended.
Ballet is the foundation for every other style, and our classes are held to that standard — a solid foundation for all levels, including pointe. We recommend every dancer take ballet. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: Girls: pink split-sole ballet shoes, pink convertible tights, black leotard, tight bun. Boys: black ballet shoes and fitted black, white, or gray clothing.
The next step for dedicated ballet dancers who pass a pointe evaluation.
What to wear: Pink ballet shoes, pink convertible tights, black leotard, tight bun. Pointe shoes fitted at Dee's Dancewear in Chandler by Jaime (request stretchy ribbon).
Good to know: Must be at least 12 and pass a pointe evaluation before enrolling.
High-energy, freedom of movement, and lots of personality. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: Tennis shoes required. Comfortable clothes; leggings or sweatpants recommended for knee floorwork.
Sharp movements, style, advanced turn combos, discs, toe touches, and the skills that prepare students for competitive school pom teams.
What to wear: Tight-fitting dance wear; hair up and out of the face.
Good to know: Advanced level requires pom experience, a solid toe touch or side leap, a clean double/triple pirouette, and teacher approval.
Basic training in Latin and standard ballroom styles; dances vary by age and ability. No partner needed.
What to wear: Girls: ballroom shoes and tight-fitting clothing.
A strong focus on jazz and contemporary combos — movement quality, confidence, style, and picking up choreography quickly, with a bit of ballroom or improv.
Come as you are and have fun in a safe, non-judgmental Fusion class blending Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Ballroom, and Contemporary. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
Front rolls, back rolls, cartwheels, one-arm cartwheel (near arm), backbend, kick-over off an elevated surface, handstand, and crab walks. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).

Builds on Level 1 skills toward bigger tricks. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: Bare feet, tight-fitting dance wear; hair up.
Good to know: Must have mastered all Level 1 skills to enroll.
For tumblers who have mastered handstand bridge, front limber, roundoff, bridge walk, back walkover, headstand, and one-arm cartwheel (far arm). Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: Bare feet, tight-fitting dance wear; hair up.
Good to know: Level 3 skills must be mastered before enrolling.
Works on side aerial, front aerial, standing back tuck, roundoff back tuck, back handspring step-out, and other advanced tricks. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: Bare feet, tight-fitting dance wear; hair up.
Good to know: Must have a back handspring or aerial.
Flexibility, control, extension, and conditioning — come ready to sweat and work hard while improving dance readiness, strength, and specific acro tricks. (Does not perform in the showcase.)
What to wear: Tight-fitting dancewear.
Good to know: Ages 8+ unless otherwise approved.
Build speed, coordination, balance, strength, and body control through movement drills designed to support athletes across sports.
What to wear: Athletic clothes and clean tennis shoes.
A mashup of tumbling, tricks, and hip hop — coordination-building and a great energy outlet. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: Tennis shoes required. Comfortable clothes; leggings or sweatpants recommended for knee floorwork.
Stunting, sidelines, and cheer elements that strengthen cheer technique. Students learn a routine performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: White tennis shoes (solid white eventually). Leotards or tight camis/tanks, fitted athletic shirts and shorts (no leggings — knees must be visible). Hair in a ponytail.
An excellent introduction to vocal study — exercises that develop healthy technique, expand range, and build power, control, and a beautiful singing tone, plus regular chances to sing in front of others and grow as a performer.
Young performers wear many hats as they explore singing, acting, and movement — building teamwork and listening skills in a fun, productive environment. They learn a number performed at the end-of-semester showcase (participation optional).
What to wear: Black dress shoes for performances (Mary Jane style for girls); any closed-toe shoes for class. Comfortable clothes to move in; hair pulled back.
